BooBoo’s success in the Dust Suppression rental market was once again confirmed as Inmalo were asked to supply them with additional Dustboss DB60’s for the blowdown demolition of the Rishworth Street multi-storey car park in Wakefield on the 20th August.
BooBoo’s client DSR Demolition Ltd specialize in ‘Blowdowns’ and were tasked with demolishing the Rishworth Street muti-storey car park which sits in the confined town centers Old Quarter within only 7 metres of existing homes, offices and Civic buildings.
A controlled blowdown collapse provided the quickest and least disruptive option for Wakefield Council even though this meant evacuating the immediate area for several days. While DSR wrapped the building to suppress and contain the controlled explosion and dust, a blowdown can never be dust or debris free. Two DB60 units, one positioned at each end of Rishworth Street to provide containment and post-explosion confinement, helped bring dust particles down as quickly as possible within the immediate demolition site.
The latest DustBoss DB60 purchases further underline confidence in Inmalo’s dust suppression range of equipment and confirms them as market leaders in this area of portable dust suppression. In addition to the DB60 units, four JCB G66QS 60kVA generators have been supplied by Inmalo to provide a dedicated power supply.
